Gateway Center
Lakeport,
CA
This was a large
commercial/industrial facility of about 50,000 square feet built in
Lakeport, CA. It was a relatively complicated project as it
involved constructing 2 large metal buildings and a smaller storage
building using components from a used metal building built in the
1960's. The building frames and components were arranged to
create buildings of different heights, widths and lengths. There
were existing metal trusses that needed to be assembled and made to
perform to meet current code requirements and new loading
conditions. New purlins and girts were installed with new siding
to create a "Very Green" recycled building project. A few well
placed skylights helped make for natural lighting in all the spaces.
