This was a temporary gym that was built at the local high school.
The existing gym was condemned because of rot and a temporary facility
needed to be built to be used while the new gym was being built.
Being in the historic town of Mendocino where all the architecture
needs to be compatible with pre 1900 style architecture this was a
building that was of major concern. It was placed in a location
where it was hardly noticed. It was also proportioned so that
once it was demolished, which it was, the slab could be used as a
tennis court. This project was referred locally as the "Tin Gym"
and was done in the early 80's.
