Water Towers |
These water tanks are great for situations
where you need to store water. The tanks are 6 foot high and 18
foot
diameter and will hold 10,000 gallons of water. These tanks are
used
for domestic water storage or for irrigation systems. Set them
high
enough and you'll have great water pressure to your desired use.
These tanks are generally built by a contractor and will often require a building permit. The tanks you see were built by Jim Boudoures of Philo Saw Works in Mendocino County, Northern California. Jim uses preshaped metal forms that can easily and quickly be erected and dissasembled for reuse. If you are interested in one of these tanks being built for you, contact Philo Saw Works. If you would like to have a set of plans for these tanks, you can obtain a copy by contacting us. Cost for the plans is $150. You'll get 4 copies signed by a licensed engineer in the State of California. You can use these to get your own building permit, if needed, and have a contractor experienced in concret work build it for you. See also the Albion Water Tank If you are in Australia or other parts of the world and need a larger underground tank, see: Hidden Tanks |
