This is a new commercial building I did at the west end of Main St. in downtown Mendocino.  The Sussex Building has 3 levels with retail space on the ground level, offices and gallery on the 2nd level and office/studio on the upper attic level.  The building fits very well with the historic architectural style of Mendocino.  It was also used as the City Hall in the TV series Murder She Wrote, which was actually filmed in Mendocino, not New England.  We did both the architecture and engineering for this project in the mid 80's. It was designed to fit into pre 1900 architecture and resembles the original saloon that was at the site.   We also designed the duplex in the back of this property which is fairly unique.  The gardens and landscape around the property is very nicely done.  If you are in the area please do take a look, you'll like it.
