Mendocino Historic Grammar School & Community Building

This is the old historic grammar school in downtown Mendocino.  It was used as a school until sometime in the 80's.  Since then it has been used as a community building for public meetings and is leased by the Mendocino Park and Recreations District.  It serves as classrooms for various crafts and day care center for the community.

In the mid 90's we upgraded several aspects of the building including eliminating much of the rot that had built up in the building.  We also installed new structural components, HVAC system, insulation, ADA bathrooms gave it a new roof, lighting, siding and paint.  In 2008 we again worked on the building giving it all new siding, replacing and repairing the windows, a new roof, new flooring and several other repair and upgrade features to allow the historic building to last for many years to come.  The project was completed before the time schedule and the district got money back on the job instead of going over budget like most jobs.
